MANILA, Philippines – Four explosions rocked Malabang, Lanao del Sur close to midnight on Friday, January 24.
No casualties or injuries have so far been reported.
According to the Philippine National Police, the 4 explosions happened inside the compound of the Malabang Municipal Hall. They happened in succession with 5-minute intervals.
The blasts damaged the municipal hall’s main gate, the Senior Citizens building, the base of the basketball court and other parts of the Malabang gymnasium.
The army’s 6th Infantry Battalion reported that the explosives used were dynamites. As of this writing, the military has not established the motive behind the explosions. – Rappler.com
