Tado’s co-passengers airlifted out of Bontoc

MANILA, Philipines – Seriously injured passengers of the ill-fated Florida bus that fell into a ravine in Bontoc, Mountain Province, on Friday, February 7, were finally evacuated to nearby hospitals. (READ: 14 dead in Mt Province bus accident)

“The Philippine Air Force choppers began evacuation of seriously injured patients. The first shuttle was airborne at 9 am [Saturday, February 8] and the second shuttle left at 1050 am,” according to Army Major Emmanuel Bautista of the Northern Luzon Command 1st Civil Relations Group. 

Activist comedian Arvin “Tado” Jimenez was among the 14 who died in the accident. (READ: Comedian Tado among those dead in Mt Province bus accident). 

Garcia said succeeding shuttles will arrive within the day. 

Among the patients were identified as the following:

1. Katrina Javier

2. Kristia Sobrevinos

3. Dino Dimar

4. Daniel Chavez
