Newsweek: Obama ‘first gay president’

 

When US President Barack Obama declared he publicly supports same sex marriage, it opened the floodgates and defined what may become a major campaign issue.  Reports have come in about campaign funds increasing from the wealthy gay community.  Newsweek’s cover story is written by an openly gay political reporter who reacts emotionally, reflecting what Filipina Kia Sison wrote – that Obama in speaking on national television has had an impact on “every closeted and out homosexual… He has made them feel they are no longer invisible.”
