Three minor earthquakes hit Mindanao Sunday morning

DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Three minor earthquakes were felt in Mindanao Sunday morning, March 23, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
A mild magnitude 4.8 earthquake jolted the province of Davao Occidental, which struck 278 kilometers southeast of the town of Sarangani at around 4:46 in the morning.

The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, has a depth of 33 kilometers.
It was followed by a magnitude 3.2 earthquake detected 16 kilometers northeast of Carmen, North Cotabato at around 8:12 am.

Phivolcs posted that the quake has a depth of 29 kilometers.
Another magnitude 4.8 quake was detected at the same town in North Cotabato almost an hour after.
