Bacteria proof aliens exist?

Bacteria found living in 86-million-year-old red clay under the ocean floor may be a clue to the existence of alien life on another planet. A biologist at Aarhus University in Denmark, Hans Røy, and his colleagues found microscopic organisms 100 feet or 30 meters below the ocean floor in the northern Pacific Ocean. These organisms use up oxygen very slowly, have been in the dark, and may be subsisting on minimal energy needed to sustain life. “If you wanted to look for another planet, I think this is really a good bet,” Røy said. Scientists don’t know if these organisms are mere remnants “of those once at the surface and are not just dying.” Røy said, “It seems like they are adapted to the environment where they live.”
