Marcos-time SC Justice Lorenzo Relova dies

MANILA, Philippines – The remains of retired Justice Lorenzo Relova will be on public display for mourning starting 4pm Friday, April 25, at the Magallanes Church in Makati City.

The country’s 103rd Supreme Court Associate Justice died Wednesday, April 23.

The Supreme Court (SC) Public Information Office (PIO) announced on its Twitter account Relova‘s passing.

Justice Relova served the High Court for a little less than 4 years, from May 14, 1982, to January 19, 1986, during the dictatorial regime of President Ferdinand Marcos.

According to the SC PIO, Relova taught at the Ateneo Law School for over 40 years and was inducted to the Professors of Law Hall of Fame in 2012. 

Born in January 20, 1916, Relova died at 98. – Rappler.com
