MANILA, Philippines – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) announced the issuance of preventive suspension orders on 3 bus firms over recent bus accidents in Batangas and Zamboanga del Sur.

“We have been reminding bus operators and their drivers to refrain from driving recklessly to prevent fatal road accidents; the board will never tolerate reckless driving behavior,” said Ginez.
The plates of the grounded buses will be confiscated on Monday, May 12, Ginez said. In 30 days, the companies have to bring the units to the Land Transportation Office’s Motor Vehicle Inspection Service for a road worthiness check.
Company drivers will also be required to take a road safety seminar.
