Businessman shot dead in Davao
MANILA, Philippines – 57-year-old businessman Richard L. King was shot dead inside the Vital C Building on Sobrecary Street in Davao City on Thursday evening, June 12.
The owner of Crown Regency Group of Hotels, King suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died on the spot.
The police and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) are investigating the incident.
Sun.Star Cebu reported that Major Warren Dablo of the CIDG said King was in Davao for the closing ceremony of the wellness training for Vital C.
The businessman was eating with his employees and participants at the ground floor of the Vital C Building when the gunman walked in and shot him. The assasin did not wear a mask.
He fled on board a motorcycle driven by a companion who was waiting outside, Sunstar reported.
King’s Crown Regency Hotel and Towers is said to be the first of its kind to have amusement facilities. – Rappler.com
