MANILA, Philippines – Public Storm Warning Signal #1 has been raised over 4 provinces as the active low pressure area east of the Visayas was upgraded to a tropical depression late Thursday, May 31.

Tropical Depression Ambo was spotted 260 kilometers east of Borongan, Eastern Samar as of 10 pm Thursday, state weather bureau PAGASA said in its 11:30 pm bulletin.
