Enrile, Napoles in anti-graft court for arraignment
Like Senators Bong Revilla Jr and Jinggoy Estrada, Enrile is in a Barong Tagalog and is not in handcuffs

MANILA, Philippines – Senator Juan Ponce Enrile  arrived at the anti-graft court Sandiganbayan early Friday, July 11, for his arraignment for graft and plunder charges in connection with the biggest corruption scandal in recent Philippine history.

Alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles also arrived at the Sandiganbayan grounds before 8 am.

Like Senators Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr and Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada,  Enrile wore a Barong Tagalog and was not in handcuffs.

The senator, who is temporarily detained at the Philippine National Police General Hospital, appeared to be in good spirits as he walked into the court building on his way to the Sandiganbayan’s 3rd Division. He smiled and waved to the media covering the event.

Enrile’s former chief of staff, Jessica Lucila “Gigi” Reyes is also scheduled for arraignment on Friday morning but was reportedly not cleared for discharge by the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital, where she has been confined since Thursday due to a panic attack and hypertension. – Rappler.com
