MANILA, Philippines – Maria Ressa talks to Senator Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan on the selection of a Chief Justice after the overwhelming vote to convict former Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona.
In 2002, Sen. Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan voted for Renato Corona’s appointment to the Supreme Court as associate justice but in the recently concluded impeachment trial, Pangilinan voted guilty along with 19 other senator-judges. He has also made judicial reform an advocacy.
