San Beda-Manila suspends classes after bomb threat

MANILA, Philippines – Another bomb threat prompted the suspension of classes in San Beda College-Manila on Saturday, October 11.

Students were asked to vacate the premises immediately, according to student publication The Bedan.

San Beda College Manila suspends classes today, Oct. 11 due to alleged bomb threat. Vacate the school premises immediately.

The announcement came from the Office of the Rector President past 10 am Saturday. 

Just last Thursday, October 9, classes and office work in Miriam College were disrupted due to a bomb threat. The school was later cleared by the Philippine National Police Bomb Squad. (READ: Bomb threat disrupts classes, work in Miriam College)

Another San Beda school in Rizal also reported a bomb threat last March. 

Other schools that had received bomb threats in the past include Ateneo de Manila University, Claret School, University of Santo Tomas, Far Eastern University (FEU) Manila, FEU Institute of Technology, Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, and St Paul College-Pasig. – Rappler.com
