Malacañang names new DOTC officials

MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang on Thursday announced the latest appointments of President Benigno Aquino III at the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte said in a news briefing that the President appointed Jaime Raphael C. Feliciano as Transportation Assistant Secretary, replacing George D. Esguerra.

Prior to his appointment, Feliciano was DOTC Director for Legal Services and Director for Infrastructure Projects since July 2011.

Feliciano obtained his management economics degree from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1999, and his law degree from the University of the Philippines in 2003.
Feliciano passed the Philippine Bar Examinations in 2004, placing 19th among the 1,108 successful examinees.

He worked as Senior Associate of the Romulo Mabanta Buenaventura Sayos & de los Angeles law firm.

Valte also announced the appointment of Ronaldo Franco Corpuz and Al Parreno as members of the LTFRB, replacing Samuel Julius B. Garcia and Manuel M. Iway, respectively.

Valte said the President signed the appointment papers of the three officials on July 10. –
