13-year-old girl: ‘Uncle Peter’ Scully sold me for P100,000
One of the 8 victims who spoke to the National Bureau of Investigation details how the Australian national abused her and two other girls, aged 1 and 5

MANILA, Philippines – Sold.

A 13-year-old girl told the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Thursday, March 5, that Australian national Peter Scully tried selling her to a man for P100,000.

Scully was arrested in Bukidnon on February 20 for rape, illegal detention, physical harm, human trafficking and cybersex operation involving minors. (READ: Kids aren’t supposed to be for sex)

Monique* first met Scully in 2012. Her mother introduced her to Scully who was then looking for a housemaid.

“Dahil sa pinangakuan ang mama ko na pag-aaralin ako ay pumayag na siya na ako ay mamasukan kay Uncle Peter,” Monique said. (Since he promised my mama that he will pay for my schooling, she agreed that I work for Uncle Peter.)

Monique’s troubles began as she stepped into Scully’s house in Surigao City in Surigao del Norte.

She was forced to perform lewd acts in front of a camera, together with two other girls aged 1 and 5. According to Monique, the 1-year-old baby was given to Scully and his live-in partner Miyaka because its mother was too poor.

In the first video, Monique said that Scully filmed her naked body. The video was sold to a German national. In the second video, Monique was forced to stand naked while watching the two younger girls have sex. A vibrator was also forced into her vagina.

Accomplice

Monique claimed that Miyaka abused her as well.

Whenever Monique protested against the couple’s instructions, Miyaka would beat and pinch her in different body parts.

“Sinabihan ako ni Miyaka na kailangan ko raw magpakuha ng picture nang nakahubad kasi may Amerikano na gustong-gusto na makita ang katawan ko na hubad,” Monique recalled. (Miyaka told me that I have to have my nude photo taken because an American really likes to see me naked.)

Monique said she agreed to strip for the camera because of fear, “Natatakot din ako kay Miyaka kasi sinasaktan niya ako.” (I was also scared of Miyaka because she hurts me.)

She added that money was also a factor. “Dahil magbabayad nang malaking halaga ang Amerikano kaya kailangan gawin ko ‘yun.” (Because the American will pay a big amount, that’s why I had to do that.)

Escape

Monique was supposed to meet the couple’s Australian client for a “show,” but was informed by Miyaka that there was a “change of plans.”

She discovered later on that Scully had sold her instead to a German national who was on his way to the Philippines. “Narinig ko mismo si Miyaka na ibebenta ako kaya tumakas ako sa bahay nila,” she said. (I heard Miyaka say that I was going to be sold, so I escaped their house.)

But the couple did not stop harassing the child.

After Monique’s escape, the couple visited her house and accused her of theft. The couple demanded that Monique’s mother surrender her.

The couple also allegedly offered Monique’s mother to split the German national’s P100,000 payment.

Monique is only one of the many girls allegedly abused by Scully. The NBI filed a string of criminal charges against him on Wednesday, including qualified trafficking, murder, child abuse, and statutory rape. – Rappler.com
