Estrada is seeking a furlough from 1 to 7:30 pm to attend the graduation rites of his son, young actor Julian Emilio Estrada, at OB Montessori in Greenhills, San Juan City. 

The ceremony itself will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm, but Estrada is asking for more time to spend with his family.  

“Although the commencement exercises is programmed to end at 5:00 pm, it can be expected that after the program, time will be needed and allotted for taking of pictures for posterity and memoir up to around 5:30 to 6:30 pm,” the motion said.  

“After the program and posterity preservation of the event, accused movant requests for a family time of at least one hour before being brought in his detention place,” it added. 

Estrada said he will shoulder the expense that will be incurred for his transfer from Camp Crame to OB Montessori under usual arrangements ordered by the court for a furlough. 

Estrada is one of the legislators charged with plunder and graft for allegedly misusing millions worth of his his discretionary funds under the pork barrel scam

He is presently detained at the police Custodial Center in Camp Crame with Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr, also one of the lawmakers accused of the same charges. – Rappler.com
