Romney will not release past tax returns

Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney insists he will not release previous tax returns, citing it would just give the camp of President Barack Obama more information to “distort and lie about.” Romney, speaking to the National Review Online, said that hundreds of pages worth of tax records he has already released is more than enough. Romney also criticized the Obama camp, saying that opposition is looking for “anything they can use to distract from the failure of the president to reignite our economy.” Meanwhile, talks are on about the search for Romney’s VP candidate. While providing no details about who he is considering for the post, Romney says he is looking for someone who shares his philosophy and has a capacity to lead.
