5 injured in C-5 Libis flyover multiple collision

MANILA, Philippines – At least 5 people were injured after a multiple collision in Quezon City early Monday, April 6.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said 6 vehicles collided into each other at the northbound lane of the C-5 Libis flyover. The incident involved 2 cars, one van, a jeepney, a motorcycle, and a bus, according to the MMDA Metrobase.

The collision occurred around 6:49 am, affecting traffic in the area and closing down one lane.

The MMDA said the area has been cleared as of 8:50 am.

About an hour later, a van encountering mechanical problems also stalled at the same northbound lane of the flyover.

It was cleared around 8:23 am.
