Malacanang announced the appointment of Nonnatus Caesar R. Rojas as the new NBI chief

MANILA, Philippines – Malacanang announced on Tuesday, July 24, the appointment of Nonnatus Caesar R. Rojas as the new chief of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

President Benigno S. Aquino III signed on July 20, Friday, the appointment paper of Rojas. He replaces Magtanggol Gatdula, who was sacked for alleged involvement in the kidnapping and extortion of Japanese national Noriyo Ohara last year.

Rojas was a former chief prosecutor in the Ilocos Region, and served as concurrent NBI officer-in-charge since January this year following Gatdula’s termination. – Rappler.com
