Conservatives eat chicken to condemn gay marriage

In the United States, conservatives showed their distaste of gay marriage by eating chicken from Chick-fil-A, a family owned fast-food chain which opposes same-sex marriage.  It came under attack from gay rights activists and their supporters who, citing tax records, say it gave millions of dollars to Christian groups that vigorously campaign against marriage equality.  Its president openly admits it did that, saying the United States is “inviting God’s judgment” if it recognizes gay marriage. The US Supreme Court will decide whether to rule on the constitutionality of same-sex marriage, which is now legal in six states but not at the federal level.  It’s a politically-charged show of support that pre-empts a plan by critics of Chick-fil-A to hold a National Same-Sex Kiss Day outside its restaurants on Friday.
