The prosecution in the murder case against United States Marine Lance Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton completed its formal offer of evidence to an Olongapo City court on Tuesday, June 30. The US Marine is accused of killing Filipino transgender Jeffrey “Jennifer” Laude in October 2014 after the two went to a local hotel in Olongapo. The defense will present its case on August 3, when the trial is scheduled to resume. The prosecution presented American witnesses who testified that Pemberton’s prints were found in at least one condom wrapper found in the motel room where Laude was killed.
