LIST: Casualties in the Ormoc sea tragedy

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – As of Monday, July 6, authorities recorded at least 61 casualties in the Ormoc sea tragedy that happened Thursday, July 2.

The Cebu Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said most of those who died in the accident were Cebuanos.

On Thursday, the 33-ton, wooden-hulled Kim Nirvana tipped over shortly after setting sail from Ormoc City going to the Camotes Group of Islands in Cebu. It was carrying 189 people.

By Friday, rescuers said there was a slim chance that any more survivors would be found.

Below is a list of casualties from the Philippine Coast Guard and the Ormoc City government.

The list, so far, includes the names of the 52 identified casualties. Nine bodies have not yet been identified. Two of the confirmed casualties are infants.
