Arum: Pacquiao unprofessional, missed shoulder injury rehab

Veteran boxing promoter Bob Arum blasted the injured Manny Pacquiao on Saturday night for missing a planned rehab visit to his doctor. After watching Saturday night’s bout between Argentina’s Cesar Cuenca and China’s Ik Yang in Macau’s Cotai Arena, the 83-year-old Top Rank chief responded angrily when reporters asked him when Pacquiao might fight again. Arum says he has no idea when Pacman might return to the ring. “As far as I’m concerned he’s not an active fighter,” said Arum, adding that Pacquiao had “not been acting very professionally.” Pacquiao had surgery on May 7 to repair a torn right shoulder rotator cuff that had been injured during training for his fight with Floyd Mayweather. The injury was further aggravated during the fight, where Mayweather defeated Pacquiao. Arum confirmed that Pacquiao, who also serves as congressman, cancelled a planned check-up with his surgeon Neal ElAttrache at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles on July 4.
