MANILA, Philippines – The wealth of Vice President Jejomar Binay grew by only around P300,000 in 2013, based on the latest Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) he submitted to the Office of the Ombudsman.
Binay declared in his latest SALN that he has P60,118,766 net worth in 2013, slightly higher than his P59,804,934 net worth in 2012.
Binay's latest SALN shows a decrease in his liabilities, from P6,599,941 in 2012 to P6,052,897 in 2013.
The value of his personal assets also dropped from P52,526,417 in 2012 to P52,293,205 in 2013.
His SALN was received by the Office of the Ombudsman on April 25, 5 days before the April 30 deadline for filing.
Binay's current net worth is P2 million higher than his wealth declaration when he assumed office in 2010.
Binay's SALN shows his assets includes properties in Makati City, Batangas, and other areas in Luzon, as well as earnings from the flower shop owned by his wife Elenita.
