According to the report of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Central Luzon, Police Staff Sergeant Micheal Maun, assigned to the PNP Aviation Group, was shot dead inside his car in Barangay Cristo Rey, Capas town.

In a video sourced and released by the Capas police, the victim was seen driving along Block 10 of Barangay Cristo Rey when a black vehicle (ZEW 568) suddenly overtook him.

After overtaking, two unidentified assailants alighted from their vehicle and rained gunshots on Maun’s vehicle. The assailants escaped afterwards.
