The Commission on Higher Education selects La Union province to kick off the inoculation program in the Ilocos region

La Union province launched a three-day vaccination drive on Wednesday, October 21, aiming to inoculate at least 1,500 college students in preparation for limited in-person classes, said local officials.

At least 1,000 tertiary students enrolled at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University were the first recipients of the COVID-19 vaccines during the first two days of the activity held on October 21 to 22. The third day of the vaccination drive would be on Monday, October 25.

College students in the province who are taking up health-related courses, engineering and technology, tourism, hotel and restaurant management, marine engineering, and marine transportation are encouraged to get their vaccine shots.
