Three aides to US President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign, including former chairman Paul Manafort, were charged over Russia's alleged interference in the polls. Manafort pleaded not guilty and was placed under house arrest.

Duterte hails 'golden age' of PH-Japan ties

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte hailed what he called the "golden age" of the country's partnership with Japan. During the President's official visit to Tokyo, 20 Japanese companies signed letters of intent to invest in the Philippines.

'No work, no pay' on October 31, November 1

The Department of Labor and Employment said "no work, no pay" wage rules cover October 31 and November 1, which are special non-working days in the country. If an employee is on duty, he or she should be given an additional 30% of his or her daily rate on a standard 8-hour schedule.
