Dr. Amor Trina Dait, 52, a resident doctor of La Paz District Hospital who ran for Pilar mayor in 2019, was shot inside her house in Barangay Poblacion at about 7:30 pm.

Dait was shot in the left leg. She was then brought to the Abra Provincial Hospital, where she died.

Police later found five slugs from an M-16 rifle at the site. They are currently hunting down the suspects.
