The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology says no damage is expected but there will be aftershocks following the tremor
A magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck off the coast of Davao Occidental on Saturday morning, July 10, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said in a bulletin.
Phivolcs reported that the earthquake happened at 8:43 am, at a depth of 41 kilometers, and was tectonic in origin.
Phivolcs said no damage is expected following the tremor but there would be aftershocks. A magnitude 5.4 earthquake was recorded in the same area at aroung 9 am. – Rappler.com
