CEBU CITY, Philippines – A total of 2.7 million voters are expected to troop to polling precincts in Cebu province, Monday, considered the hottest election to date in Philippine history.
Cebu is considered the top 1 vote-rich province in the country with a total of 2,722,288 voters as of the 2016 data from the Commission on Elections.
This is followed by Cavite and Pangasinan with 1,843,163 and 1,705,260 respectively.
A total of 54,363,844 registered voters in the entire Philippines, according to Comelec.
A total of 1,423,453 or 52.29 percent are female voters while 47.71% or 1,298,835 are male voters.
The vote rich areas in Cebu are as follows: Cebu City (630,003), North or First district (290,760), South or Second district (339,243), Mandaue City (189,712), Lapu-Lapu City ( 188,815), Talisay City (120,240), Toledo City (103,658)
In Cebu City, as early as 6 am voters are now lining up and looking for their polling precincts.

Other areas with high voting population are: Tudela (7,763), Pilar (8,613), Alcantara ( 10,102), Boljoon (10,216) and Santander (11,577).

Cebuanos will be voting for the provincial positions starting from governor to municipal town mayors and councilors.
For the province’s top post, 6 are vying for the gubernatorial post, 3 for vice-governor, 18 vying for congressmen/women and 45 vying for the board member position.
Cebuanos will be electing 10 congressmen, 1 governor, 1 vice governor, 14 board members, 9 city mayors, 9 city vice mayors, 98 city councilors, 44 municipal mayors, 44 municipal vice mayors and 352 municipal councilors. – Rappler.com
