CEBU, Philippines – In the northern town of Daanbantayan, incumbent Mayor Augusto Corro was defeated by a margin of only 7 votes.
The winner, retired general Vic Loot, said, “This signals the start of a new beginning for Daanbantayan.
Loot also congratulated Corro on the close fight and “for a job well done, giving me a good fight, getting the best out of me, considering that I am a new fight.”
