BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – Abra drew first blood with the killing of two supporters of Gov. Joy Valera Bernos Monday morning, October 22,  in Barangay Kimmalaba, Dolores town.

Rodel Talledo Pilor and Roland Lasara were both killed at about 9:15 am Monday by still unidentified assailants who repeatedly shot the two while they were riding a motorcycle.

Police recovered slugs of a caliber 5.56 mm revolver and a gauge 12 shotgun from the crime scene.

In a statement, Bernos said that Pilor has been her supporter for the past campaigns.

“Abreños know who the perpetrators are,” she alleged. “I am directing the PNP and AFP to bring these people to justice.”
