LIST: Senatorial candidates for 2019 polls

MANILA, Philippines (4th UPDATE) – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) released the list of official senatorial candidates to be included in the ballot for the May 13 midterm polls.

The certified list of candidates for senator was contained in Comelec Resolution No. 10506 promulgated on Friday, March 1.

The 62 senatorial candidates are:

In February 2019, former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque withdrew from the Senate race.

Jimenez on Saturday, January 26, released an earlier list of 76 candidates, but noted that 13 names included in the list were “still pending finality.”

“Should a certificate of finality be issued, these 13 names will be stricken off the list.  The 13 names will be identified this afternoon, to give time for the certificates of finality to be issued,” Jimenez said on Saturday.

The list on Thursday already excluded these 13 names, which means they will not be included in the ballot for the May 13 midterm elections:
