Lanao del Norte mayor endorses Robredo
Pantao Ragat Mayor Mohammad Daud Nabil Dimaporo Lantud endorsed Vice President Leni Robredo’s presidential bid when she visited the Lanao del Norte town for a sortie on Wednesday, May 4.
Lantud is running for reelection under Partido Federal ng Pilipinas – the party of Robredo’s biggest rival, former senator and dictator’s son Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
“Today, we are officially endorsing our next President, Insh’Allah – Madam Leni Robredo. Makakaasa po kayo, na kami at ang buong mamamayan ng Pantao Ragat, kasama ang aming buong grupo sa lalawigan ng Lanao del Norte, Insha’Allah po, nasa inyo aming suporta,” Lantud said.
(You can expect us and our citizens in Pantao Ragat, with our entire group in the province of Lanao del Norte, God willing, our support is with you.)
Pantao Ragat Vice Mayor Lacson Lantud and former mayor Eleanor Dimaporo Lantud joined the mayor and the Vice President on stage.
Robredo said that Lanao del Norte was close to her heart as her office’s signature Angat Buhay program put up several projects to help the locals, such as coconut farmers and their livelihood.
She also asked supporters to support her running mate, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan.
“Ang pinapangako po namin sa inyo, pag ako po naging pangulo, pag si Senator Kiko naging vice president, pag ‘yung mga senador po natin, tinulungan natin, sisiguraduhin po namin na maasikaso po naming ‘yung mga pangangailangan niyo dito sa Lanao [del Norte], said Robredo.
