The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has released the calendar of activities for the national and local elections on May 9, 2022.
The Comelec promulgated Resolution No. 10695 on Wednesday, February 10, and released a copy on its website on Saturday, February 13.
The poll body also listed prohibited acts during the election and campaign periods, and on election day itself.
October 1 to October 8, 2021 – including Saturday and Sunday – is the period for filing of certificates of candidacy (COCs) for all elective positions, as well as certificates of nomination and acceptance.
This period is also for the filing of the lists of nominees, certificates of nomination and certificates of acceptance of nomination, and affidavits of existing party-list groups, coalitions, and organizations.
On October 29, 2021, the Comelec will start posting the tentative list of candidates on its website and the offices where the COCs were filed, so that aspirants can check their names that would appear on the official ballot.
Here is the full calendar of activities and prohibited acts in relation to the next elections.
