LIST: Who is running for mayor, vice mayor for highly-urbanized cities in the 2022 Philippine elections?

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines inched closer towards the 2022 elections after the filing of certificate of candidacies from October 1 to 8, 2021.

Who will be running for mayor and vice mayor in the 33 highly-urbanized cities in the May 2022 polls? 

City mayors have the responsibility to supervise programs, projects, services, and other activities in the local government, among others. Vice mayors, meanwhile, preside over the sangguniang panlungsod (city council) and excercise the powers and duties of the city mayor in cases of temporary vacancy, among others.
