Mix of old and new names in Lacson Senate slate of 15
Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto says they have one more candidate up their sleeve to make it a slate of 15

It’s a mix of old and new names in the Senate slate of the Lacson-Sotto tandem, with many of the veteran reelectionists also found in the slate of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Manny Pacquiao.

The tandem of Senator Panfilo Lacson and Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III said on Friday, October 15, that the following 14 people are their slate for the race for 12 of the 2022 Senate elections:

  1. Former senator Loren Legarda (Nationalist People’s Coalition)
  2. Former senator JV Ejercito (Nationalist People’s Coalition)
  3. Former senator and Sorsogon Governor Chiz Escudero (Nationalist People’s Coalition)
  4. Former Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista (Nationalist People’s Coalition)
  5. Senator Sherwin Gatchalian (Nationalist People’s Coalition)
  6. Senator Joel Villanueva (Independent)
  7. Senator Migz Zubiri (Independent)
  8. Former vice president Jejomar Binay (United Nationalist Alliance)
  9. Former agriculture secretary Manny Piñol (Nationalist People’s Coalition)
  10. Dr. Minguita Padilla (Partido para sa Demokratikong Reporma)
  11. Actor and former congressman Monsour Del Rosario (Partido para sa Demokratikong Reporma)
  12. Paolo Redemptus Capino (Partido para sa Demokratikong Reporma)
  13. Senator Richard Gordon (Bagumbayan-VNP Movement)
  14. Former senator Gregorio Honasan (Independent)
  15. Broadcaster Raffy Tulfo

With this, Escudero, Zubiri, Villanueva, and Gordon are now part of the three slates, while Legarda, Binay and Gatchalian are part of the Pacquiao and Lacson slates.

“Good, they deserve to be in the Senate,” said Sotto when asked.
