The 1Sambayan opposition coalition is set to unveil its official list of nominees for president and vice president whom the group would endorse in the 2022 elections.
The coalition will make the announcement during a virtual program on Saturday afternoon, June 12, the same day the country is commemorating Independence Day.
The event will be spearheaded by 1Sambayan’s convenors, including retired Supreme Court associate justice Antonio Carpio, former ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales, former foreign secretary Albert del Rosario, former education secretary Brother Armin Luistro, anti-corruption advocate Father Albert Alejo, and lawyer Howie Calleja.
Rappler CEO Maria Ressa and former Ateneo School of Government dean Antonio La Viña will serve as guest reactors, while actress Ria Atayde will be hosting the event.
