WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Is your area under granular lockdown?
Shying away from quarantine curbs covering entire cities or regions, the Duterte government is putting smaller areas under granular lockdown to keep the economy running while ensuring public health.
Although public health experts have criticized this granular lockdown scheme, the government has started to implement this on Thursday, September 16.
Individual houses, residential buildings, streets, blocks, puroks, subdivisions, villages, and barangays may be placed under granular lockdown. Local government units and the social welfare department will provide affected households with food assistance.
