MANILA, Philippines – Following a series of medical complaints from Janet Lim-Napoles, the Makati Regional Trial Court gave permission to let Napoles go to the hospital in case of an emergency.
But netizens are far from happy about the possibility of putting Napoles under hospital arrest.
Napoles has been detained in Fort Sto Domingo in Sta Rosa, Laguna, the training ground of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Special Action Forces (SAF), since Sunday, September 1.
On Monday, September 2, she suffered from an anxiety attack at 4 am and was restored to normal within an hour.
On Tuesday, September 3, Napoles complained of a tingling sensation on her face at 1 am and suffered from hypertension at 4:43 am, according to the PNP.
She has been under close monitoring since 5 am, Tuesday, but appeared to be in a better state on Wednesday, September 4. As of 6:30 am, the PNP said Napoles' vital signs were all normal.
The Makati RTC said it would be up to SAF to determine whether there is a need for Napoles to go to the hospital.
Rappler asked netizens what they thought about moving Napoles into a hospital. Here's what they had to say:

Malacañang has said its main priority is Napoles' security.
Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte said they would leave it to the court to decide whether to grant Napoles hospital arrest if she asked for it.
"I think they (Napoles camp) have already said they won't avail [themselves] of it…. If they reverse their previous position and they do ask for it, we will leave that to the court," she said.
Napoles refused hospital arrest last week despite palpitations due to diabetes. Her lawyer Lorna Kapunan said Napoles did not want people to think she was receiving any special treatment from the government and has repeatedly said they would not seek hospital arrest.
Napoles – who is linked to a multi-billion-peso scam where she and lawmakers allegedly connived to pocket the Priority Development Assistance Fund of lawmakers – is in prison for a separate case of serious illegal detention for kidnapping her aide-turned-whistleblower.
The National Bureau of Investigation is currently preparing a case against her in relation to the scam. – Rappler.com
