The late former president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III will be laid to rest beside his parents, former president Corazon Aquino and democracy icon Ninoy Aquino, at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City on Saturday, June 26.

The funeral Mass will be held at 10 am at the Church of the Gesù at the Ateneo de Manila University and will be presided by Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas. (LIVE UPDATES: Death of former Philippine president Noynoy Aquino)

Right after the Mass, Aquino’s urn will be brought to the cemetery.

The convoy shall proceed via C5 to the South Luzon Expressway, leading to the Manila Memorial Park.

The camp of the former president advised those who wish to pay their final respects along the route of the convoy to observe proper health protocols. 

Aquino died on Thursday, June 24, due to renal disease secondary to diabetes. President Rodrigo Duterte has declared 10 days of national mourning for his predecessor. – Rappler.com
