Patrol Representative Jorge Antonio Bustos’ brother and another man were found dead with bullet wounds inside a security agency office in Angeles City late Saturday afternoon, January 23.
A police report obtained by Rappler identified the following fatalities:
- Jorge Bustos III, 46, operations manager of Blue Gems Security Agency, a resident of Barangay Cutcut in Angeles City, and a former vice mayor of Masantol, Pampanga
- Erick Cariaga, of legal age, resident of Loyola Heights in Quezon City
The two men were found dead inside the office of the Blue Gems Security Agency located at Barangay Pulung Maragul, Angeles City, at past 4:30 pm.
The security agency office’s caretaker, identified as John Maverick Bustos Cunanan, 29, told the police that Jorge III and Cariaga arrived at around 9 am and stayed inside the office the whole day.
While he was taking a shower at around 4:30 pm, Cunanan told the police that he heard two gunshots. When he opened the door of the office to see what happened, he saw that the two men were already dead.
Cunanan told the police that he did not see any other person entering or leaving the office from 9 am until he heard the gunshots at around 4:30 pm.
In a statement issued to the media on Sunday afternoon, January 24, Central Luzon police director Brigadier General Valeriano de Leon said he has ordered an in-depth investigation into the incident.
He said that a caliber .45 Springfield pistol bearing serial no. 19387146 with a cartridge on its chamber and with an inserted magazine containing 3 cartridges, 3 fired cartridges, and 3 deformed bullets from a .45 caliber firearm were recovered from the crime scene.
De Leon also said that investigators also took a closed circuit television camera unit and 2 mobile phones “to determine the facts and circumstances behind the incident.” – Rappler.com
