A fire broke broke out at the storage facility of the Pasig City General Hospital late Wednesday morning, May 12, prompting the transfer of some of its patients to another hospital.

Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto said the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) declared fire out past 3 pm.

“No injuries and no major equipment/supplies hit,” Sotto said in a tweet.

The city public information office said the fire began at 10:37 am, adding that a stockpile of alcohol aggravated the blaze.

The fire reached the third alarm before authorities declared it was under control at 1:25 pm.

There were no casualties reported.

“Salamat sa Diyos walang nasaktan, pero nilipat muna ang 14 pasyente sa ibang pasilidad sa Pasig,” Sotto tweeted.
