PDEA Pangasinan busts school principal, sibling with drugs

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Pangasinan arrested of in a buy-bust operation before dawn on Thursday, October 14, a high school principal and his businessman brother.

Busted in Alcala town were Winy Dumlao, 59, principal of Pindangan National High School, and his brother Victor, 52, an owner of a funeral home. PDEA said it filed complaints of violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, against the siblings.

PDEA Pangasinan provincial officer Rechie Camacho said the operation took place in an alley in Barangay San Nicolas.

Camacho said the two were on the PDEA list of high-value targets.

Authorities said they recovered three sachets of a substance believed to be shabu, weighing six grams and valued at P40,800 by the Dangerous Drugs Board

Also seized were a genuine P1,000 bill, 19 “boodle” or fake money used in the transaction, and one cellphone.

Camacho said they were still conducting a follow-up investigation on the brothers’ shabu supplier, and possible clients. – Rappler.com
