The Occidental Mindoro Provincial Police Office said the bag was spotted among the trash on the shore of Natalon, Barangay Balikyas in Looc town.
Oliva has been reported missing since November 21. He is also chief of the Legislative Liaison Unit at the Department of Tourism.
In his report, Police Executive Master Sergeant Seriolito Dimaranan said they received a phone call around 6 am Friday from a certain Jinny Histas, who claimed to have found the bag.
Histas, a tireman of Algimar Construction located in the said town, told the police he spotted the bag covered with sand and garbage on the seashore that morning.
Histas said he opened the bag, and when he found out what was inside, decided to turn it over to the police.
Dimaranan said among the contents of the bag were the non-professional driver’s license card and Integrated Bar of the Philippines card of Ryan Paray Oliva.
Also in the bag were a Samsung android cellphone and a charger.
