Round 4 of VP debate: Cayetano maintains winning streak
MANILA, Philippines – Senator Alan Peter Cayetano maintains his winning streak among netizens, who chose him the winner in the 4th round of the vice-presidential debate on Sunday, April 10.
Of the total votes on the Rappler poll, the running mate of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte obtained 41.12%. He was followed by Camarines Sur Representative Leni Robredo with 35.05% and Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr with 21.96%.
Senators Francis Escudero and Antonio Trillanes IV trailed far behind 0.93% each. Senator Gringo Honasan did not receive any votes.
The 4th round of the debate focused on human rights, with the opening minutes punctuated by an exchange between Marcos and Robredo.
On the Rappler mood meter, angry votes appeared when Marcos reiterated that he could not apologize for the human rights abuses under the regime of his late father, the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos.
On Robredo's remark that Marcos should return his family's ill-gotten wealth, the senator responded: "I cannot give what I do not have."
