MANILA, Philippines – Local bets rushed to the offices of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) nationwide on Wednesday, October 17, the last day of filing of certificates of candidacy (COC) for the May 2019 elections.

Among them was presidential son Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, who will run for vice mayor in Davao City alongside his sister, reelectionist Mayor Sara Duterte Carpio, and brother Paolo Duterte, who is running for 1st district congressman. (READ: Duterte’s 3 eldest children running in 2019)

Meanwhile, in Isabela, Governor Faustino Dy III seeks to become vice governor, with 1st District Representative Rodolfo Albano III looking to take Dy’s place at the helm of provincial hall. Dy’s son Inno filed his COC for congressman of the newly-created 6th District.
