Defense presents 11th witness, Benz Lim

MANILA, Philippines – Defense lawyer Judd Roy presents 11th witness Benz Lim, Property Manager of The Columns, a development of Ayala Land.

Lim says he handles the common areas of the The Columns. Lim says part of his job is to bill the condominium owners for their association dues.

Lim says Mrs. Corona only paid P108,000 of association due The amount they demanded was P112, 213.79 but he adds that they waived interests and penalties of Mrs. Corona.

Defense presents letter of Mrs. Corona to The Columns detailing problems of the condominium unit. Lim says after submitting the letter to the board of directors, P18,000 was waived.

Enrile to Defense: The only question is her acceptance of the unit? And yet this was not included in the SALN of the Chief Justice.

Roy responds, Coronas wanted the money returned because the unit was defective. Installment was paid at the time of transfer of title.
