MANILA, Philippines - Justice Secretary Leila de Lima is the first among reported frontrunners for the chief justice post who will be put in the hot seat when the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) starts its public interviews on July 24.
The JBC, the body that screens nominees and applicants for judicial posts, released Tuesday, July 10, the schedule of its interviews with the 22 chief justice candidates.
De Lima belongs to the first batch of 6 aspirants who will be grilled.
The interviews will be conducted from July 24 to 27, from 9 am to 5 pm in the division hearing room of the Supreme Court building in Padre Faura, Manila. They will be aired live for the first time.
