'SONA mo ito!' Social media on #SONA2013
MANILA, Philippines - As President Benigno Aquino III put it, the State of the Nation Address (SONA) is ours to own. While many watched livestreams or read blogs of the speech, others were listening and reacting as well.
Many took to Twitter to put up their opinions regarding the President's performance this past year using #SONA.
Rappler noted people's reactions online as the 100-minute speech progressed, and while people weighed the pros and cons, ultimately some realized that as much as it's the President's duty to improve the country, it was also ours to lift up as well.
