MANILA, Philippines – The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will bring rain over the Ilocos region, Bataan, and Zambales on Wednesday, August 12, according to the state weather bureau.

These areas can expect light to moderate rains on that day, said Philippine Atmospheric, Geophyiscal, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in its Tuesday evening bulletin.

Isolated thunderstorms are expected in the rest of the country, including Metro Manila.

Luzon should brace for moderate to strong winds, also brought about by the monsoon. Seas in the region will thus be moderate to rough.

Winds will be light to moderate for the rest of the archipelago. Ocean waters will thus be slight to moderate in most of the country.
